Little Fringe House

Project in collaboration with Keyla Hernandez , Yu-Ting Chang , Branden Hudak

There was a house that was unlike any other home, it looked a little bit different, but through time it found its place. The Little Fringe house sits tucked into an alley snuggly between two towering buildings. It resides out of sight, hiding from the outside world. The little fringe house fits here; it’s not too large, but not too small, just the right size to fill the alley. Although it may be dark on the outside,
Little Fringe House opens up quickly to reveal itself. Once inside, the house changes and unveils its real personality. Shining light and soft colors give the house its creative character and welcome thoughts who chose to give it a chance. The Little Fringe house protects its family by providing a place to live, develop, and interact in a secluded green space.
Dark on the outside and warm on the inside the Little fringe houses use their strange appearance to provide for their family. Its cone-shaped windows add to its strangeness on the outside and let the light shine in and warm the house. When the place is active, it opens up to the outside, the spheres peel apart, allowing its inside to be seen. Little Fringe House is strange and may not look like a house, but it can provide to whoever needs to escape the outside world and find themselves in the fantastic. .
